STEPHEN LOMAN SEES POSITIVE SIGNS FOLLOWING BRAVE CF 108
Stephen “The Sniper” Loman may have fallen short on the scorecards, but the Filipino star left BRAVE CF 108 with renewed confidence following his long-awaited return to competition.
The former BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion yielded a unanimous decision to Lasha Abramishvili in the card’s co-main event at the historic Pula Arena in Croatia over the weekend.
Despite the result, Loman believes his performance offered an important reminder of his ability to compete at the highest level.
“I wanted to win, but I can still take a lot of positives from this fight,” he said. “I learned things about myself and my game, and I believe this experience will help me in my next fight.”
After three years away from action, the 31-year-old showed little hesitation, going toe-to-toe with the promotion’s No. 1-ranked bantamweight contender over the course of three rounds.
For Loman, the competitiveness of the contest represented one of the biggest positives from his comeback.
“I proved to myself that I can still compete with a world-class fighter,” he stated. “Three years is a long time to be away, so getting back in there and having a competitive fight gives me a lot of confidence. Now I know what I need to work on.”
BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid praised Loman’s gallant stand against an opponent who has been more active than him for the past three years.
“It was great to see Stephen back in the BRAVE CF cage,” Shahid expressed. “He went straight into a difficult matchup and showed the heart, skill, and determination that made him a World Champion with us. His performance reminded everyone why he has always been one of the division’s best fighters.”
Shahid also reaffirmed BRAVE CF’s commitment to giving Loman opportunities to remain active and build on his return.
“When Stephen returned, we promised to give him the platform to compete at the highest level again, and that commitment remains,” Shahid said. “We want to see what he can accomplish from here.”
Loman, meanwhile, is already looking ahead.
“I’m happy to be fighting again,” he mentioned. “I want to keep improving, stay active, and come back stronger.”
