STEPHEN LOMAN SET FOR RETURN AGAINST LASHA ABRAMISHVILI AT BRAVE CF 108

Stephen “The Sniper” Loman is officially set to make his long-awaited return to competition when he faces Lasha Abramishvili in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 108 on Saturday, September 5, at the historic Pula Arena in Croatia.

Loman weighed in at 62 kilograms, narrowly exceeding the allowable bantamweight limit of 61.7 kilograms. Abramishvili weighed 61.7 kilograms on his second attempt. The three-round matchup will proceed at a catchweight, with the Filipino mixed martial artist giving up 15 percent of his purse.

The bout marks Loman’s return to the promotion, where he established himself as one of the most successful athletes in BRAVE CF history.

The Lions Nation MMA representative has won all six of his BRAVE CF appearances since debuting at the organization’s inaugural event in September 2016.

His overall professional record stands at 17-3, including six wins by knockout and two by submission.

Loman became the inaugural BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion at BRAVE CF 9: THE KINGDOM OF CHAMPIONS in November 2017 after stopping Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat by first-round technical knockout.

He went on to reign for 1,179 days and successfully defend his championship four times.

One of those defenses produced a memorable homecoming in March 2019 when Loman knocked out former BRAVE CF Featherweight World Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame in the fourth round at the Mall of Asia Arena in front of a large Filipino crowd.

Now, after several years away from competition, Loman returns to the BRAVE CF cage against a Georgian opponent who has built significant momentum in the division.

Abramishvili owns a 12-2-1 professional record and is unbeaten in four BRAVE CF appearances. The Georgian has finished three of those opponents before the final bell and most recently defeated Brice “Lion Kid” Picaud by unanimous decision at BRAVE CF 106 last June.

With the BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Championship currently vacant, the matchup carries major implications for the division.

A victory could place either fighter in a strong position to pursue a championship opportunity.
