LANDBANK strengthens partnerships to support Batangas growth

LANDBANK is scaling up its support for Batangas’ continued transformation into a key economic hub, expanding its financing for high-impact infrastructure, renewable energy, and education projects through strategic engagements with local stakeholders.

“Batangas remains a major driver of economic growth. Through our partnerships with local governments, the academe, and the private sector, LANDBANK delivers responsive financial solutions that advance development priorities and promote inclusive, sustainable growth,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.

As part of these efforts, LANDBANK engaged Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC), led by Chairman Edgar B. Saavedra and President & CEO Oliver Y. Tan, and represented by its Chief Financial Officer Ma. Lucia L. Roderos, to explore financing for large-scale renewable energy projects. This initiative aligns with CREC’s target of delivering 5 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity within five years, supporting the Department of Energy's goal to achieve a 50% clean energy mix by 2040.

The Bank is also reinforcing its collaboration with the City Government of Calaca, led by Mayor Sofronio “Nas” C. Ona Jr., to back priority infrastructure and urban development projects aimed at boosting economic activity, tourism, and public services. To improve local accessibility, LANDBANK is set to establish a new phygital branch in Calaca, blending physical and digital banking services for a more seamless customer experience.

Additionally, LANDBANK partnered with First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) Colleges, led by Chairman and President Dr. Brian Vincent L. Belen, to fund its institutional expansion. The financing will support the construction of new academic facilities and provide additional working capital to meet the growing student population.

Through these combined initiatives, LANDBANK reaffirms its commitment to delivering tailored financial solutions—spanning project financing, digital banking, and public-private partnerships—to accelerate investments and sustain Batangas’ long-term growth.
