LANDBANK donates ₱12.6-M to LGUs affected by Typhoon Neneng, Habagat

₱12.6 million in financial assistance and relief support to local government units (LGUs) in Central Luzon affected by Typhoon Neneng and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat). The assistance, partly funded by voluntary cash donations from LANDBANK employees nationwide, supports immediate relief operations and community recovery efforts.
Of the total amount, ₱11.6 million was provided as cash assistance to 46 provincial, city, and municipal governments across Bataan, Bulacan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, and Pampanga. Most of these provinces were placed under a state of calamity after widespread flooding affected almost 2 million families, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted livelihoods.
The remaining ₱1 million was allocated for relief operations in Pampanga, with support from voluntary cash donations from LANDBANK employees nationwide, who each contributed the equivalent of at least one hour of their salary. LANDBANK employees also helped pack and distribute 2,000 grocery packs to flood-affected families in the municipalities of Apalit, Sto. Tomas, and Minalin.
“As communities recover from the effects of Typhoon Neneng and the enhanced southwest monsoon, LANDBANK remains ready to provide timely and meaningful assistance to our kababayans. Together with local governments, we are helping address urgent needs, restore essential services, and support families as they rebuild their lives,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.
The latest assistance brings LANDBANK’s total support for disaster-affected LGUs and communities to ₱16.225 million in 2026, including ₱3.625 million previously extended in response to Typhoon Basyang and the Mindanao earthquake. It also follows the ₱15.3 million provided for disaster response in 2025 through the Bank's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and Volunteerific Program for employee participation.

To support long-term recovery, the LANDBANK Community Assistance and REintegration Support Plus (CARES+) Lending offers financing to help disaster-affected sectors resume operations, recover, and rebuild. Eligible borrowers include micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, corporations, and electric distribution utilities.
LANDBANK also offers the “EasyCash for Emergencies” feature for its credit cardholders, allowing them to convert their available credit limits into cash payable in installments. Meanwhile, the Electronic Salary Loan (eSL) provides government employees and payroll account holders with access to salary and emergency loans through employer endorsement or branch application.
Through financial assistance, employee-led relief operations, and accessible recovery financing, LANDBANK continues to stand with Filipino communities in times of crisis, helping families, businesses, and local governments recover and rebuild from calamities.
