“Hydration water break” campaign launched in La Union capital

BAGUIO CITY (December 16, 2024) -- Elementary and High schools in San Fernando City, La Union simultaneously launched “Hydration water break” campaign Monday, an initiative by the City Schools Division head Sheila Marie A. Primicias, who herself joined the launching program after the flag raising rites at the San Fernando South Central Integrated School (SFSCIS).

The hydration water break drive enjoins the learners in San Fernando City to stay hydrated, refreshed, and focused while studying.

The hydration water break is also in line with the proposed water bell ordinance of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of La Union.

According to the SFSCIS, the drive is not just about drinking water, but “it’s about instilling a culture of self-care and mindfulness”, emphasizing the profound impact of this daily habit on energy, focus, and well-being.

Monday’s launch highlighted the benefits of drinking water regularly.  Students were told about the importance of having a good and timely water break to replace water lost throughout the day, increase brainpower and concentration, help beat tiredness help in weight loss, flush out toxins, improve complexion, help prevent headaches, have fresh breath and improve the mood which is a great help in learning.

Water breaks are scheduled every 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM daily.
