Baguio City, March 9, 2025 – Senior citizens in Baguio received much-needed healthcare services during a Free Medical Mission organized by Goodhearted Volunteers in partnership with the Baguio City Government and the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC), chaired by Gladys Vergara. The event, held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs in Salud Mitra Barangay, aimed to prioritize the well-being of the elderly by providing essential medical care at no cost.


The Goodhearted Volunteers reaffirmed their dedication to community service, ensuring that elderly residents had access to vital healthcare services without financial burden.


“We are honored to support our senior citizens by providing these medical services. Their health and well-being matter, and this initiative is our way of showing appreciation for their contributions to the community,” the organizers shared.


Free Medical Services Included:


  • Eye Check-up – Free eyeglasses were distributed while supplies lasted.
  • Diabetes Screening – Blood sugar levels were tested, and free medicines were provided.
  • Blood Pressure Monitoring – Hypertension screenings were conducted, along with free medications for those in need.
  • General Check-up & Well-being Assessment – Doctors evaluated the overall health of senior citizens and provided medical advice.


The event was met with appreciation from attendees, many of whom expressed gratitude for the free medical assistance.


This medical mission was part of ongoing efforts to promote community health and well-being in Baguio.
