Empowering Lives: Kimchi-Making Training Promotes Inclusive Opportunities at GV Livelihood Hub

In a continued effort to provide inclusive livelihood opportunities, the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC), under the leadership of Chairperson Gladys Vergara, recently hosted a Kimchi-Making Training at the Ginhawa Venture (GV) Livelihood Hub in Irisan. The initiative, which aimed to equip participants—including individuals with special needs—with valuable skills, served as a platform for empowerment and economic sustainability.

The training provided hands-on experience in the traditional art of kimchi-making, allowing beneficiaries to develop skills that could open doors for income generation and self-sufficiency. The event underscored the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a sustainable future, regardless of their circumstances.

BTC expressed gratitude to its partners who helped bring the initiative to life, ensuring that all participants had the resources and support needed to succeed.

With programs like this, BTC and the GV Livelihood Hub reaffirm their commitment to inclusive economic empowerment and community development, paving the way for a future where skills training and livelihood opportunities remain accessible to all.

Time to Pass the Torch: Why Political Comebacks Are Not the Answer

As the May 12 election nears, a quiet but growing movement is making itself heard in Baguio City. It does not come from the traditional campaign stage or the usual political dynasties. Tired of the same names, the same faces, the same families. Tired of watching opportunity slip away as public service is reduced to a personal brand.
