Aint summer yet in the Summer Capital – Baguio City

Baguio and Benguet villagers, even tourists-revelers of the 29th Baguio Flower Festival “Panagbenga”, still shiver with the highland chill even with just a few weeks before the summer sun comes.

As of 5:00 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2025, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at its Baguio Weather Station measured the temperature at 14.6 ° Celsius.

The temperature though will get higher in the rest of the day at 23° Celsius at its peak.

While in La Trinidad, the capital of the Province of Benguet, now hosting the Cordillera Regional Athletic Association (CARAA) meet starting Monday until the 28th, PAGASA Agromet at Benguet State University (BSU) logged the temperature at 15.4 ° Celsius as of 5:00 AM Monday.

While Mt. Sto. Tomas in Tuba, Benguet was cold at a low of 11.7 ° degrees Celsius as of 5 AM Tuesday.

PAGASA said the North East Monsoon is still prevailing over the North contributing to the cold winds blowing over North Luzon region especially over the highland Cordillera.

But Easterlies is being experienced at the South Eastern Part of Luzon bringing cloudy skies.
