Urdaneta City, Pangasinan sting nets P3.5M crystal meth, pistol

BAGUIO CITY (March 11, 2025)—Authorities seized P3,570,000.00-worth of shabu and a .45 caliber pistol from a 57 year old drug trader dawn Tuesday in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

 

Operatives from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Pangasinan and PNP Drug Enforcement Group-Special Operations 1 (PDEG-SOU 1) caught “Odi” at around 2:35AM Tuesday for selling six pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 525 grams, a Cal. 45 pistol with inside holster, a magazine assembly, seven live ammunition, a mobile phone, three mobile phones, several drug paraphernalia and five bundles of unused plastic sachets.

 

Operatives also seized a brown sling bag, a "victoria secret" paper bag, a brown envelope, a "Lazada" blue plastic, an identification card, P2,0000 cash in different denominations as part of non-drug evidences against him aside from the buy-bust money.

 

According to PDEA-Region 1 director Joel B. Plaza, the drug trader, who was taken to the PDEA-Pangasinan provincial office jail facility, will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or An Act in Providing for a Comprehensive Law on Firearm and Ammunition and Providing Penalties for Violation Thereof.
