The scope of the award covers all LGUs of 82 provinces, 148 cities and 1, 486 municipalities of the country.

Gov. Guico III thanked the Pangasinenses or people of the Pangasinan, the employees of the Provincial Government under their respective departments, Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague III, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Pangasinan Vice-Governor Mark Ronald Lambino for their excellence.  He also hailed the dedication of the heads of the municipal LGUs for performing their mandates very well.

"We all did this together. Indeed, competence in professional work and commitment in public service enrich the defining character of our Team Pangasinan! And with your unfailing support, our journey continues, improving lives and transforming communities in the whole province," Guico III reiterated.

The validation of LGUs for the SGLG award started in September 2024, and awarding is usually done at the end of every year.
