One year old boy dies in Baguio road mishap

A one year old boy succumbed due to severe head injuries while seven individuals were hurt when the AUV (Asian Utility Van) they were riding uphill at Parapad, Barangay North Sanitary Camp, here malfunctioned, slid backwards and turned-turtle Thursday afternoon.

 

The fatality was identified by police as King Joseph Gigante Gago.

 

Based on the initial investigation, the L300 van where the young boy together with his family were onboard was ascending when the driver – Rhomel Posadas Ramos -- lost control of the wheel. Though he struggled to maneuver to regain control, the vehicle slid back and turned-turtle hurting all passengers.

 

Those hurt were identified as Lagrimas Bravo Gago, 63; Jessica Gago Ramos, 28; and Keegan Bravo Gago, 4; British citizen Robin Max Kuhnert; Jason Bravo Gago 24, the father of King Joseph; and James Rhomel Ramos, 1.

 

Victims are all from Tomana West, Rosales Pangasinan, who were enroute to Mines View Park via the North Sanitary Camp road.

 

Although the victims were immediately rushed to the hospital, King James did not make it.
