Baguio City Police Changes Commander

BAGUIO CITY (October 10, 2024) -- The Baguio City Police Office (CPO) welcomed its new City Director on Tuesday during turnover rites at a hotel here.

 

Police Col. Ruel Dangos Tagel took over the helm of the Baguio City police command from Police Col. Francisco Bulwayan Jr. as witnessed by Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. David K. Peredo and Baguio City mayor Benjamin B. Magalong.

 

Bulwayan who headed the Baguio City police for over two years turned over the command symbol, property book, and equipment inventory and portfolio of the Baguio City to Col. Tagel signifying the official transfer of leadership.

 

Tagel acknowledged the challenges ahead and accepted the duties and responsibilities bestowed upon him as the new leader of the Baguio City police. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among the Baguio City policemen, as well as with the Local Government Unit, in maintaining the peace and security in the city.

 

Bulwayan will become the Chief of the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division of the Cordillera police command.
